...Strong Winds Across Northeast Nevada Expected Tuesday...

Strong northwest winds are forecast across northeastern Nevada
picking up around 7-8 am and continuing throughout the day.
Northwest winds of 25-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected.
Higher terrain and exposed ridge tops may see stronger winds.

For the Owyhee River...including Mountain City...elevated river
levels are forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 12:10 PM PDT Monday the stage was 6.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will oscillate below flood stage with a
maximum value of 7.1 feet late Friday evening.
- Action stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
